The Iconic BTS Bus Stop: Soaked but Happy at Hyangho Beach

As part of my IN THE SOOP BTS Ver. Season 2 (Pyeongchang) travel package with Klook Travel, I finally got to visit the BTS Hyangho Beach Bus Stop which is the famous spot featured on the “You Never Walk Alone” album cover and the music video for “Spring Day.” Located at Hyangho Beach in Jumunjin, Gangneung, the area feels quiet and cinematic, like stepping right into a frame of BTS history.

Except… the day I went, it wasn’t exactly peaceful, it was raining cats and dogs. Not a drizzle, not a shower, but a full-on storm. Our umbrellas didn’t stand a chance they flipped inside out, and we were completely soaked from head to toe. Still, we were determined (because let’s be real, what’s a little typhoon to an ARMY?). We took turns taking photos at the bus stop, laughing the whole time because the rain made it all so chaotic and fun.

Afterward, we found refuge in a small convenience store nearby, warming up with hot tea and trying to dry off a bit. We didn’t make it to the Goblin breakwater, which was just around the corner, but that’s okay it gives me another reason to come back one day.

The place itself is a little remote definitely not somewhere you want to miss the bus from, because there’s really nothing else around. But standing there, even drenched, looking out at the sea with that bus stop behind me… it felt special. Simple, beautiful, and so BTS.
