In the Same Air: My Busan BTS Adventure

I only spent a day and a half in Seoul before taking the train to Busan, Jungkook and Jimin’s birthplace, to catch the Live play BTS free concert. Honestly, I think I like Busan better than Seoul, it’s quieter, low-key, and not too westernized.

We got there on Jimin’s birthday, and of course, the city was full of ARMY from all over the world because of the concert. I didn’t have much time to see everything since I was only there for three days and the Liveplay concert took up most of it. I stuck to the most popular spots: Gamcheon Village with its colorful streets and fun little buildings, a night tram with a view of the city skyline, and I walked along Gwangalli Beach. We stayed downtown, which made it easy to soak in the city’s quiet vibe while still feeling connected to everything going on.

The night before the concert, SUGA posted a view from his hotel room, and I realized I was looking at almost the same skyline. Maybe we were even in the same area. Standing there, watching the city lights from the beach, it hit me how magical it felt. The soft sound of the waves, the quiet hum of Busan at night, and knowing BTS was performing somewhere nearby made me feel part of something bigger than myself.
