From Trainee Tables to My Plate: Yoojung Sikdang Experience
Not far from BTS’s first dorm—just a short walk away—is Yoojung Sikdang, a restaurant that the members frequented back when they were trainees. Stepping inside, it felt like walking into a piece of history. The air was warm, the smells inviting, and everywhere you looked there were little touches left by ARMY—post-its, messages, and offerings from fans all over the world. It’s like the space itself carries the echoes of countless memories.
I decided to try one of their sets, and it did not disappoint. The black pork was tender and flavorful, the kind of dish that sticks in your memory. The tofu soup, hearty and comforting, paired perfectly with the main course. Every bite felt grounding, almost like tasting a piece of BTS’s early days.
Eating there, surrounded by the subtle hum of fans’ love left on the walls, it was easy to imagine the trainees themselves sitting at these tables, sharing meals and dreaming big. It was more than just food—it felt like a quiet connection to a story that had started long before I even stepped foot in Korea.
For anyone exploring BTS landmarks and craving authentic flavors, Yoojung Sikdang is a must-visit. Not just for the food, but for the feeling of walking through a small piece of their journey.
