Crafting Memories Where Jimin Once Sat: Silver Kit Shop, Yongsan
On my first trip to Korea, I had scheduled an appointment at Silver Kit Shop, the very place where Jimin learned to make his silver bracelet or maybe he did, since the shop is so close to HYBE Yongsan. I had booked it months in advance from the U.S. via Instagram, as appointments are required. There were about 12 of us in the class, all there for the same experience. The shop is just a few steps from a Paris Baguette, where I waited a few minutes before my scheduled time. The walk up a slight incline to the shop added a small, ordinary rhythm to an otherwise extraordinary experience.
Stepping inside felt like opening a page of Jimin’s own blog, a world glimpsed through his hands and perspective. The owner welcomed me with warmth and patience, guiding me through every step as I shaped my own piece of silver. He even gave me Jimin’s apron and invited me to sit in the same spot he had. I crafted the exact same bracelet, a small but tangible connection to his world. The experience was unforgettable and fun, and I was happy with my bracelet. The package also included a photo of Jimin, a postcard, and other cute freebie stickers, which made the visit even more special.
